The work.

A dispute, a divorce, a problem in the business: people arrive at a law firm in the middle of something difficult, and the old site made them work out which part of the practice was theirs.

Drake & Case handle litigation, family law and corporate matters from London. The site they had gave little away about the people behind the firm or the way they work, and someone arriving in the middle of a dispute had to guess which practice area was theirs.

The rebuild is a WordPress site organised around the practice areas people search for, a page per service, with an index that takes an individual straight to the page they need. Each page is written in plain English and answers the questions a client would otherwise have to ring up and ask, and a Why Drake & Case page covers how the firm works. Navy and red carry the firm's identity while the pages themselves stay quiet, so the writing leads.

A phone number and the enquiry form close every page, and the office details sit on the contact page, so the next step is never more than a scroll away. We set the structure, titles and metadata at build time around the searches that bring people to a solicitor, and the pages run on editable fields, so the team can post news or revise a practice area without a developer.
